Nebraska Phi Beta Lambda scores big at national conference
ANAHEIM, California -- For the second year in a row, Nebraska Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) had six first place finishes at the recent National Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, Calif. Overall, Nebraska PBL finished with 41 Top Ten finishes, which placed them third in the overall state rankings behind Florida and Arkansas.
Out of the 41 national awards won, Nebraska PBL had six first place winners, including two from North Platte Community College. The top awardees from NPCC were Faron Morgan (Help Desk) and Julie Hart (Word Processing), both of North Platte.

Additionally, Kathy McCune, a co-adviser at NPCC, was recognized as Nebraska's Adviser of the Year and the NPCC chapter was recognized as a Gold Seal Chapter of Merit.
The Nebraska chapter was honored for having tied with Colorado for the second most professional division members with 18. In addition, Nebraska tied for second in the Mountain Plains, having 50 new members, in the largest increase in state chapter membership. Also, Nebraska finished second behind Oklahoma for the second largest state chapter, having achieved 300 members for the year.
