Albert Francis Gutzman

INDIANOLA, Nebraska -- Albert Francis Gutzman, Jr. age 84 died at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, July 17, 2013.

He was born near Cambridge in Furnas County on Oct. 2, 1928, to Albert Francis Sr. and Madline (Dolph) Guztman. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1946.

Albert was drafted in the US Army on Feb. 15, 1951, serving overseas in Korea. He was honorably discharged on Feb. 13, 1953. On Oct. 27, 1951, Albert married Marjoria Windham. The couple has spent over 60 years together.

Albert spent most of his working years as a private security guard. The couple moved back to Nebraska in 2004, living in Bartley and recently in Indianola. Albert enjoyed reading, visiting and woodworking. He was a member of the VFW.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-parents, Darlene Gutzman and Henry Bear; four sisters: Phyllis Jean Gutzman, Mary Ellen Gutzman, Ardis and husband, Robert Brown and Marjorie Ann Davis; and a nephew, John Brown.

Albert is survived by his wife, Marjoria of Indianola, Nebraska; son, Clifford and wife, Gloria, of Angleton, Texas; five grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three half-sisters, Jean Ann and husband, Dave Wallace of Florida; Kaye and husband, Rob Bellamy of Omaha, Nebraska and Shevawn and husband, Rocky Willis of McCook, Nebraska; numerous nieces, nephews and friends, also his beloved dogs, Tinker and Misty.

Graveside inurnment will be on 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2013, with Pastor Jeff Wulf officiating. Inurnment will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Indianola, Nebraska. Military Honors will be at the graveside.
