McCOOK, Nebraska -- Men's and women's college basketball dominate the February schedule for the McCook Community College Events Center including back-to-back men's/women's doubleheaders the next two weekends.

The men and women host Otero Friday starting at 5 p.m. and then Trinidad State Saturday starting at 5 p.m. which is also the night for the MCC Booster Club-Dick Driml Chili Cook-off, Phi Beta Lambda Dessert Auction, and YMCA Youth Basketball Night.

The Dessert Auction extravaganza is a new event that includes both a silent and live auction in the Event Center's auxiliary gym.

The silent begins at halftime of the women's game and concludes at halftime of the men's game.

The live auction between games will be conducted by MCC student John Reeves, with the auction benefitting the college's Phi Beta Lambda chapter and the March of Dimes.
