HOLBROOK, Nebraska -- Dorothy Jean Loudenslager, 67, of Holbrook, Nebraska, died Saturday (Nov. 10, 2012), at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

She was born Feb. 28, 1945, at Harlan, Iowa, to Rasmus and Alma Marie C. (Peters) Nielsen.

She grew up at Irwin, Iowa and attended country school and graduated from Irvin High School in 1963. She married Fred Loudenslager Sr. Aug. 29, 1964, at Harlan. They lived in Central Iowa and Nebraska. She graduated from beautician school, and owned G-Nees Hair Salon in Hartford, Iowa. She retired in 1991 and they moved to Holbrook, Nebraska.

She was a member of the Eastern Star at Carlisle, Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Elmer, Virgil and Donald Nielsen, and sister, Alice Winther.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Loudenslager Sr. of Holbrook; son, Fred Jr. and wife, Mellissa Loudenslager of Indianola, Iowa; daughters, Wendy Squier of Fresno, California, Brenda L. and husband, Bryon Keeney of Indianola, Iowa and Chanda and husband, Jeff Carlson of Arapahoe, Nebraska; brother, Marvin and wife, Laurel Nielsen of Audobon, Iowa; sisters, Irene Hansen of Audobon, Iowa, Donna and husband, Glenn Byriel of Boone, Iowa, Mary and husband, John Steenhusen of Irwin, Iowa, Janelle Roberts of Exira, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren:

Funeral services are Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, in Arapahoe with the Rev. Michael Flury officiating. Interment will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery.

There is no viewing or visitation.
