Neel, Johnson exchange vows

Michelle and Bradley Johnson

EVERGREEN, Colorado -- Michelle Neel of McCook, Nebraska, and Bradley Johnson, of Omaha, Nebraska, were united in marriage June 8, 2012, at Evergreen Lakehouse in Evergreen, Colorado, with the Rev. Clark Bates officiating.

Parents of the bride Richard and Joyce Neel of McCook. Grandparents are Margaret Neel of McCook and the late Stanley Neel, and the late Ruth and Harold Shields.

Parents of the bridegroom are Martin and Connie Johnson of Omaha. Grandparents are Phyllis Schmidt of LeMars, Iowa, the late Marlowe Schmidt and the late Paul and Margaret Johnson.

Maid of honor was Jenny Neel, sister of the bride, of Commerce City, Colorado. Bridesmaids were Tamra Neel, sister-in- law of bride, of McCook, Lynette Chmiel, cousin of the bride, of McCook, Chelsey Benes of Curtis, Nebraska, and JoAnn Neel, niece of the bride, of McCook.

The bride's personal attendant was Destiny Waterman of Fort Collins, Colorado.

The best man was Brent Utoft of Omaha.

Bridegroomsmen were Craig Johnson, brother of the bridegroom, of Phoenix, Arizona, Will Klotzbeucher of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Chris Neel, brother of the bride, of McCook.

The ring bearer was Benjamin Walter, cousin of the bride, of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Bell ringers were James Neel, nephew of the bride, of McCook, Braiden Cutts and Landen Cutts, both cousins of the bridegroom and of San Diego, California.

Ushers included Jamie Neel, cousin of the bride, of McCook.

Guestbook/program attendant was Stacy Hartwig of Omaha.

Music was provided by Bryan Johnson, brother of the bridegroom, of Omaha, on the mandolin, JoAnn Neel, niece of bride, as vocalist, accompanied by Bryan Johnson on the guitar.

The reception was at the Evergreen Lakehouse, following the wedding. Host couples were Mike and Darlene Nothnagel, aunt and uncle of the bride, of McCook, and Sheila Robinette and Bill Groetken, aunt and uncle of the bridegroom, of LeMars, Iowa.

Cake servers were Marilyn Stitt of McCook, Carlyn Burkholder of North Platte, Nebraska, and Patti Neel of McCook, all aunts of the bride and Sandy Lozier, aunt of the bridegroom, of Elkhorn, Nebraska.

The bride has a Masters of Science in occupational therapy from Colorado State University and works as an occupational therapist at the Child Development Center of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The bridegroom has a Bachelors of Science in construction management from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and works as a project engineer at Calcon Constructors in Denver, Colorado.

Following the wedding, the couple honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii.
