Austin Wilson of Kearney, Nebraska and Ryan Martin of Elm Creek, Nebraska, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the bride to be are Gilbert Wilson of Phillips, Nebraska, and Bob and Lanae Fritsch of McCook, Nebraska.

Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Tim and Kyla Martin of Elm Creek.

The bride-to-be will graduate from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in December with a bachelor's degree in social work.

The prospective bridegroom is attending the doctorate program at Palmer Chiropractic.

An Oct. 20, 2012, wedding is planned at the First Baptist Church in Kearney. A reception will follow at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds, Ag Pavilion.

The couple will reside in Davenport, Iowa. Upon the completion of the bridegroom's graduation, they hope to move back to the area.
