Vandal, 63, ordered to pay restitution, serve probation
McCOOK, Nebraska -- A McCook man was ordered to pay a combined $3,000 in restitution to the owners of seven vehicles he vandalized in separate incidents throughout 2010 and 2011. The man, 63-year-old Andre E. Lefebvre of 611 W. First Street, was also ordered to serve 24 months probation during a sentencing hearing Monday in Red Willow County District Court.
Lefebvre accepted a plea agreement in the case in April, offered by Red Willow County Attorney Paul Wood, that admitted guilt to a combined six counts of criminal mischief. Three of those charges were Class IV felonies and three were Class I misdemeanors.
The plea agreement also stated the prosecution would recommend probation at sentencing.
Lefebvre was assigned a public defender in September 2011 before pleading not guilty to the charges in January and subsequently accepting the plea agreement in April.
