Oberlin man shot

OBERLIN, Kansas -- A 22-year-old Oberlin, Kansas, man was injured in a shooting early Sunday at a house in rural Decatur County, Kansas.

A 24-year-old white male was taken into custody following the shooting of Corey Cook of Oberlin.

A press release this morning from the sheriff's office indicates that Decatur County law enforcement officers were summoned to a house at 2084 N Lane at 1:34 a.m., Sunday. The victim was transported first by Decatur County EMTs to Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin and later transferred by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.
