An apartment house at 520 Norris Ave., is on the agenda for Monday when the Red Willow County Commissioners meet with the owners, Greg and Janet Hepp, in executive session at 9:15 a.m. The structure is the last one on the east half of the block not owned by the county, which is considering building a jail on the space. Other items on the agenda include setting taxes and levies as a board of equalization, approving a bid package for architectural, structural and interiors as recommended by the Hillcrest Nursing Home board of trustees for renovations and energy management improvements at the home; possible participation in the Nebraska Food Drive Challenge for the Pantry; contracts for environmental services and grants with the West Central Nebraska Development Distric; and further discussion on a jail. The meeting will be in the commissioners' room in the courthouse.
