McCOOK, Nebraska -- Proceeds from a benefit car show in McCook Saturday will help pay medical and travel expenses for the family of a McCook girl injured in a car accident Feb. 1.

Free-will donations and proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets will also be given to the family of Baylie Simmonds.

Cars and motorcycles will be displayed from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., in downtown McCook from West C to East C. The entry fee is $10 per vehicle.

Raffle tickets will be sold for $100 shopping sprees, one at Schmick's Market and another at D&S Hardware, both in McCook. Organizers also plan a 50/50 split-the-pot drawing.

Car show awards and raffle ticket and split-the-pot winners will be announced at 3 p.m.
