LINCOLN -- Kay Lynn Schlagel, 50, died Wednesday (March 17, 2010) at her home.

She was born June 30, 1959, in Oberlin, Kan., to Erwin and Mereta (Duncan) Cathcart. She received her Nursing Certificate from Mary Lanning in Hastings.

She was preceded in death by her father, Erwin Cathcart.

Survivors include her mother, Mereta Duncan of McCook; her two sons, P.J. Schlagel and Bradley Frogge of Lincoln; five sisters, Jaque and husband, Raymond Wagner of Enid, Okla., Marilyn Herr of Casper, Wyo., Shirley Smith of Denver, Colo., Linda and husband, John Gull of McCook and Judy and husband, Rocky Leibbrandt of Danbury; and a half-brother, Mike and wife, Loretta Gilbert of Garden City, Kan.

Memorial services will be Saturday, 1:30 p.m., at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook.
