Pick those beans

Thursday, October 1, 2009

Bean fields are ready to be picked in the Southwest Nebraska area and combines are kicking up dust in the fields like this one north of McCook Tuesday afternoon. Harvest started a week and a half ago at the Frenchman Valley Perry elevator and started on Monday in McCook. The price remains in the $8.50-8.60 range thus far.

  • Pick those Beans ??????????

I don't think they are being picked. It looks like they are being CUT and threshed inside the combine.

Hard too belive people DON'T what a combine does.

I think it picks corn and cuts beans and wheat!!!

If the news media dont know whats going on maybe they should call a local implement dealer for some advice!!!!!

  • sure you pick cotton & pick beans from the garden by hand, you pick corn with a combine and you cut wheat, milo and most beans.

Several kinds of beans raised in s.w. Nebraska.

    Different kinds are harvested differently

I presume the news article was Soy beans
