Elsie Coone

Dec. 30, 1923 - July 24, 2009

WAUNETA -- Elsie Alberta (Bischoff) Coone was born Dec. 30, 1923, to William and Katie (Parde) Bischoff. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She attended Calvert and St. Paul Elementary Schools.

On Sept. 15, 1946, she married Art Coone in Oberlin. The couple lived in Bloomington, Ill., and Denver, Colo., before moving to Wauneta in 1956.

She was a beautician and had her own beauty shop in Wauneta for more than 20 years.

Elsie was called to her eternal home Friday (July 24, 2009) at Heritage of Wauneta in Wauneta.

Her husband, Art Coone; parents; three sisters, Vera, Gladys and Clara; and one brother, Raymond, preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughter, Janice of Wauneta; brother, Dale Bischoff and wife, Vi; brothers-in-law, Cliff Shackelford and William Jeffries; and nieces, nephews and friends.
