Trojans, Cribelli claim W-P titles

WAUNETA -- Cambridge High School's boys golfers captured the Wauneta-Palisade Invitational team title Tuesday, led by Bo Cribelli's first-place individual effort.

The Trojans posted a 331 score, 25 strokes better than second-place Medicine Valley and 26 better than third-place Sutherland.

Hitchcock County placed fourth with 360, followed by Dundy County-Stratton with 421, Chase County junior varsity 457 and Maywood 474.

Cribelli fired a 75 to win the individual title by six strokes over Hitchcock County's Zyle Nelson. Cambridge's Taylor Nelson placed third with an 83 and teammate Caitlin Rice was fourth with an 84.

Medicine Valley's Tanner Eberle was sixth with an 86 and teammate Tommy Schroeder was seventh with an 88. Hitchcock County's Ryne Thompson was ninth with an 89.

There was a three-way tie for 10th place. Cambridge's Troy Hayes and Jackson Johnson and Hitchcock County's Justin Heffner also shot 89s.
