Red Willow Western rural firefighters along with workers from the Red Willow Dairy soak down burning bales Tuesday night. Firefighters responded to the call at 8:48 p.m., at the dairy.The departments two semi-tankers and pumpers along with a grass rig were on scene for several hours wetting down the burned feed. A loader moved smoldering bales away from unharmed feed while firefighters saturated the hot spots. Firefighters battled with chilly temperatures which dropped from 38 to 23 degrees in a short amount of time.
