Lynn M. Thompson, age 45, of Garden City, Ga., formerly of McCook, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, in Savannah, Ga.

Lynn was born on Oct. 7, 1961, at Escondido, Calif., to Robert and Catherine (Mulkey) Thayer.  She graduated from McCook High School in 1979. 

She married Keith Thompson in August of 1979.  To this union four children were born.  They lived in Sterling, Kan., and Westcliffe, Colo..  The couple divorced in 1996.

Survivors include her parents, Robert and Catherine Thayer of McCook; two sons, Damon Keith Thompson of Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii and Cory R. Thompson of Edwardsville, Ill.; two daughters, Trina Dawn and husband, Cory Andrew of Kansas City, Kan., and Kelsey Marie Thompson of Pueblo West, Colo.; one brother, Robert Thayer and wife, Jody of Escondido, Calif.; two sisters, Denise and husband, Jay Semensow and April Martin all of Escondido, Calif.; five grandchildren, Halie, Cole, Trevor, Brandon and Alex; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Robby, Joey and Emily Thayer and Jayson, Justyn and Eryn Semensow; special friend, James Carter of Garden City; numerous relatives; and a host of friends.

Memorials may be given in her name.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be at Carpenter Breland Chapel on Sunday at 1:30 p.m., with her brother, Robert Thayer officiating.  A private family inurnment will be at a later time.
