Glidden scores 8 TDs for DCS Tigers

ARAPAHOE -- Dundy County-Stratton quarterback Kyle Glidden blistered Arapahoe with 230 yards on 32 carries and eight touchdowns.

Glidden also completed 4 of 5 passes for 63 yards, brother Kendal hit 2 of 4 for 53 yards.

Shawn Bernard rushed 25 times for 98 yards.

Warriors' quarterback Adam Snyder carried 10 times for 132 yards and completed 10 of 19 passes for 164 yards.

Snyder and Aaron McCoy both scored 2 touchdowns.

WAUNETA -- The Wauneta-Palisade Broncos rolled past the Medicine Valley Raiders 54-20 Friday night.

"Overall, we played a pretty good ball game," said Bronco coach Randy Geier. "I give credit to Medicine Valley's players and coaches. They played hard all four quarters.

"Their passing offense gave us some problems, but we played a solid game."

Bronco running back Chris Crowell led all rushers with 156 yards on 17 attempts for 2 TDs.

Quarterback Taylor Dixon carried 16 times for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Cody Fanning scored 2 TDs on runs of 27 and 3 yards.

Leading rusher for Medicine Valley was Clint Bryant with 63 yards on 18 attempts and scored a touchdown.

SOUTHERN VALLEY -- The Southern Valley Eagles slipped past Southwest 18-14 Friday night.

Eagle quarterback Michael Hoxmeier completed 10 of 16 passes for 131 yards, two touchdowns with one interception.

Hoxmeier hit Zach Nielsen for a 18 yard TD and Mitch Schoenfelder for 10 yards.

Chris Foster finished the Eagle scoring with a 1-yd. run. Cummins led the Eagles with 49 yards rushing on 5 attempts.

Roughrider Ryan Timmerman ran for 74 yard touchdown.

The Roughriders returned a fumble for a 1-yard touchdown.

Quarterback Jason Daffer completed 5 of 17 passes for 62 yards. Ryan Timmerman led Southwest with 166 yards on 9 carries.

Southern Valley will travel to Broken Bow next Friday. Southwest will host Perkins County.
