Bison golfers 13th at GI tournament

GRAND ISLAND -- The McCook High School boys golf team placed 13th out of 16 teams at the Grand Island Invitational Friday with a 345 score.

The meet took place on the Jackrabbit Run Course.

Joe Vetrovsky paced the Bison golfers with an 84. Aaron Goodenberger followed with an 85. Lance Korte shot 87, Anthony Bieck 89 and Jack Latta 90.

"As a team we bettered our previous weeks score by 19 strokes," said McCook boys golf coach Dan Hilton. "We must continue to do this each week if we expect to become competitive in the districts."
