Hayes Center girls rip NP-St. Patrick's

HAYES CENTER -- Hayes Center's girls basketball team rolled past North Platte-St. Patrick's 58-39 Thursday.

"After not playing a game for three weeks the girls came out and played a great game," said Cardinals' coach Krystal Sauser.

"Offensively they put it together and really worked well with each other. Communication was the key to their outstanding defensive play. I was really proud of the way the girls came out and played."

Terra Bishop and Jaimie Lapp led the Cardinals in scoring. Bishop had 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Lapp scored 14 points and had 4 rebounds and 4 steals.

Aimee Harms, Randi Steele and Lichelle Large teamed up with 8 points.

Large also had 3 assists and 9 rebounds.

Rebecca Large joined in with 4 rebounds and Josie Rosno had 2 steals.

Maywood girls 54,

Dundy County 40

MAYWOOD -- Maywood's girls basketball team trumped Dundy County 54-40 Thursday.

The Tigers took the lead in the first quarter and kept the momentum going for the win.

Susan Koester posted 16 points for the Tigers' win. Staci Koester followed with 13 points and had 10 steals and was 11-7 in rebounds.
