Jillian Bryant scores 6 points in Dana College loss Wednesday

BLAIR -- The Dana College women's basketball team lost to Midland Lutheran College 66-50 Wednesday night at the Gardner-Hawks Center in Blair.

Midland Lutheran improved to 13-3 overall and Dana dropped to 7-8.

Dana's Jillian Bryant, a 5-foot-11 freshman from McCook High School, scored 6 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and added 1 steal for the Vikings. She made 2-of-5 field goals and 2-of-2 free throws.

Amy Nichol led Dana with 21 points and 5 steals. Amanda Bryant added 7 points and 9 rebounds. Tricia Trotter had 6 points and 3 steals.

Karmen Jericevic led Midland Lutheran with 20 points. Kendra Kuncl scored 11 and Liz Sneed 10.

Midland Lutheran led at halftime 30-27 and outscored the Vikings 36-23 in the second half. Dana shot 30 percent from the field.
