Relaford Warren 'Bud' Stuart

ST. FRANCIS, Kan. -- Relaford Warren "Bud" Stuart, 84, died Wednesday (Aug. 16, 2006) at Good Samaritan Village in St. Francis.

He was born July 26, 1922, in Beloit, Kan. He entered the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He worked as a farmer and jeweler, before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Marie (Amos) Stuart.

Survivors include his son Dr. Patrick R. Stuart of St. Francis; one sister, Adelaide Peterson of Hawthorne, Nev.; and two grandchildren.

Services are Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in St. Francis. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Cemetery with military honors graveside by the Fort Riley Honor Squad.

Visitation is Sunday from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. at Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis.

Memorials may be given in his name to the First Christian Church, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Cheyenne County Fair Board all of St. Francis.
