HERNDON -- Lillian Theodora (Brown) Wahrman, 84, died Friday (March 3, 2006) at the Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.

She was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Herndon to Wenzel and Theodora "Dora" (Barenberg) Brown.

She married Carl Wahrman at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Atwood on Feb. 15, 1944. The couple spent their married life on a farm northwest of Herndon.

She was a farm wife and homemaker.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Herndon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 1999; parents; brothers, Emmeram, Anton, Harvey, Robert and Wenzel.

Survivors include her children, Lynette and husband, Leon Wolf of Grinnell, Kan., Wayne and special friend, Jackie Gourley of Osborne, Kan., Bernus and husband, Stan Munsch of Hays, Kan., Marlene and husband, Dean Bebb of Atwood, Marlin of Atwood and Gary of the home; brothers, Joe Brown and Tom Brown and wife, Margaret, all of Atwood; sisters, Alvina Gamblin of Oberlin, Delpha Sis of Atwood and Dorothy Taylor and husband, Richard of Wauneta; brother-in-law, Clarence Wahrman of Goodland, Kan.; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Wahrman of Atwood, Lida Wahrman of St. Francis, Mary Brown of McCook and Jean Brown of Atwood; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church in Herndon with the Rev. Damian Richards officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Herndon.

Parish vigil and rosary will be today, 7 p.m., at Williams Funeral Home in Atwood. Visitation is today, until 9 p.m., at the funeral home. The casket will be closed at the church.

Memorials are being accepted in her name at the St. Mary's Church Roof Fund.

Williams Funeral Home of Atwood is in charge of arrangements.
