Howard Frank Morris, 90, formerly of Holbrook, died Friday (Dec. 23, 2005) at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

He was born Dec. 11, 1915, in Holbrook to Frank and Sophie (Noltymeyer) Morris. He graduated from agricultural school in Curtis.

He worked building airplanes in New York and California before returning to Holbrook to farm. He also worked at the Holbrook Elevator and was a butcher.

He married Ardith White on Oct. 17, 1951, at Stockville. The couple moved to McCook 10 years ago.

He was a member of the Holbrook Lion's Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Esther and Zella.

Survivors include his wife, Ardith Morris of McCook; four sons, Larry and wife, Maureen Morris of LaVerne, Calif., Dennis Morris of Bellflower, Calif., Merril and wife, Rane Morris of Danbury and Leon and wife, Belinda Morris of Stratton; a daughter, Marcia Lemman of Salina, Kan., one brother, Kenneth Morris of Omaha; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services were today at the First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. Eddie Wright officiating. Interment followed at the Holbrook Cemetery in Holbrook.

Visitation was Monday at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe and today at the church.
