Fannie Georgina Nelson

ST. FRANCIS, KAN. -- Fannie Georgina Nelson, 86, died Tuesday (June 14, 2005), at the Good Samaritan Village in St. Francis, Kan.

She was born May 1, 1919 in Cheyenne County, Kan. She worked primarily as a waitress.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Omar Nelson in 1974.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Nelson of McCook and George Nelson of San Berardino, Calif.; two daughters, Pat Rose of St. Francis and Carol Confer of Olathe, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Federated Church in St. Francis. Interment will be at Grace Cemetery in McDonald, Kan.

Visitation will be today from 1-9 p.m. at Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis.

A memorial has been established in her name.
