Southwest's Noyes competes at Junior Olympic volleyball tourney

HOUSTON -- Southwest High School senior-to-be Savannah Noyes competed at the National Junior Olympic Volleyball Championships June 27-30.

Noyes, a 6-foot-2 blocker/hitter, is a member of the Lincoln Challengers 17s Volleyball Club.

The team also competed in tournaments in Lincoln, Omaha, Kansas City, Mo., Indianapolis, Chicago and Reno, Nev.

Margaret Noyes Southwest High School senior-to-be Savannah Noyes, middle back, and her teammates from the Lincoln Challengers 17s, enjoy a shopping spree in Houston. The Challengers finished second in the 17 Club Division.

The Challengers reached the finals at Houston and placed second in the 17 Club Division.
