CAMBRIDGE -- Martha Jane Troxell, 74, died Tuesday (June 29, 2004) at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge.

She was born Dec. 7, 1929, to Edgar Hepler and Florence Julia (Powell) Anderson in McCook. She attended McCook Public Schools.

On April 28, 1952, she married Home J. "Whitey" Troxell in Wauneta. In 1954, the couple made their home in McCook. She was a registered LPN and worked at St. Catherine's Hospital. She later worked for the police department as a dispatcher for 12 years. She was employed as a supervisor for Burns Lab until her retirement in 1992.

She was a member of the McCook Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Whitey of McCook; and sister-in-law, Edith Persinger of Oberlin.

Graveside inurnment is Monday, 2 p.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery with Terry McCorkle officiating.
