John C. Pollmann

John C. Pollmann, 83, died Tuesday (Dec. 11, 2001) at Community Hospital of McCook.

He was born April 20, 1918, at Culbertson to Henry W. and Anna (Volroth) Pollmann. He lived in the Culbertson area all his life. He attended rural schools.

On Jan. 6, 1946, he married Louise Creighton at Trenton. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1944.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Moorhous-Steffen-Propp VFW Post No. 6219, and the Adam Miller American Legion Post No. 133.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earl, Walter and Henry Pollmann; and two sisters, Anna Lunbery and Minnie Naugle.

Survivors include his wife, Louise of Culbertson; three sons, Larry Pollmann and wife, Diane, Jarry Pollmann and wife, Val, all of McCook, and Loren Pollmann and wife, Margaret of Trenton; three daughters, Judy Redmer and husband, Lynn of Garden Plains, Kan., Linda Hilker and husband, Roland, and Joyce Samuelson & husband, Doug, all of McCook; nine grand children; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be Friday, 11 a.m., at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Culbertson with the Rev. Daniel Spearow and Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Interment will be at the Culbertson Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.

Memorials may be given in his name.
