Arnold F. Kunnemann

IMPERIAL -- Arnold F. Kunnemann, 80, died Sunday (Sept. 1, 2002) at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home.

He was born Feb. 12, 1922, to Henry and Katherine Kunnemann on the family farm in northwest Chase County. He served in the U.S. Army for three years and was stationed in Europe during World War II.

On Feb. 3, 1946, he married Irene Haarberg. He was involved in many agricultural and business interests.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and served on various community boards including the District No. 6 School Board, the Frenchman Valley Coop and the Community Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene; one sister, Bernice; two brothers, Clarence and Elmer; and two brothers-in-law, Bob Sorge and Cleo Bremer.

Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia and husband, Sid Jaeger of Lexington and Sylvia Kunnemann of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one son, Dennis Kunnemann and wife, ZoAnne of Imperial; two sisters, Irene Bremer of Imperial and Rosalene and husband, Wayne Peterson of Livingston, Mont.; three brothers, Orville Kunnemann and wife, Arlene of Imperial, Raymond Kunnemann and wife, Burdeen of Ft. Wayne, Ind. and Delbert Kunnemann and wife, Bernice of Billings, Mont.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial with the Rev. Robert Frank officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial.

Visitation is today until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
