Elizabeth Ann "Babe" Scott

CAMBRIDGE -- Elizabeth Ann "Babe" Scott, 95, died Wednesday (Sept. 4, 2002) in Thornton, Colo.

She was born Jan. 13, 1907, to Joseph and Minnie (Fitzgibbon) Hiatt.

On Jan. 26, 1926, she married George B. Scott. The couple made their home on a farm north of Cambridge. She was a homemaker and she worked at the thrift shop in Cambridge.

She was a member of the Church of God in Holbrook.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Elma; five brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Foster of Bridgeport and Karen and husband, Robert Simmons of Keenesburg, Colo.; one brother, Richard of Troy, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 27 grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday, 2 p.m., at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge with the Rev. Art Phillips officiating. Burial will be at the Cambridge Cemetery.

Memorials may be left in her name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge is in charge of the arrangements.
