America's future

Tuesday, May 7, 2002

Dear Editor,

America! What will become of her? Will she survive? Can God continue to bless America as He has in the past? For answers let us turn to the Bible. In Genesis, God called Abraham to become the father of the nation of Israel and told him that He would make of him a great nation and that his descendants would be as many as the sand of the sea and the stars of the heavens in number.

He took him up into a high mountain and showed him all the land that He would give him (Israel only occupies a tiny fraction of that land area today). He repeated the promises of land, seed and blessing to Isaac and Jacob.

After Moses and Joshua led the Children of Israel out of Egypt into the promised land, Israel turned away from the Lord and began to worship idols, commit adultery, fornication, kill their babies etc., etc..

Read about it in Psalm 78 & 106. So God raised up the nations of Assyria, Babylon and Rome to take them captive and scatter them into every nation on the face of the earth. In II Kings 10:32 we read, "In those days God began to cut Israel short." If God did not spare Israel, His own people, why would He spare America? Our people have turned away from God and our sins are a stench in the nostrils of Almighty God. In those days God began to cut America short. World War III is just around the corner. Repent of your sins today while you can. Ask Jesus to come into your life and save you from your sins and the power of sin and the penalty of sin (Hell) today.
