Golden rule?

Dear Editor,

If you looked at the budget of the college in McCook and where those funds are coming from, what would you find?

What percentage comes from McCook-area residents? If it's more than 51 percent, that's considered the majority, per my economics instructor, E.P. Baruth.

In the corporate world 51 percent trumps the other 49 percent. It's also the golden rule, "He who has the gold rules!" On the other hand if Nebraska taxpayers outside of the McCook area supply the majority of funds to run McCook college I guess they can name it what they want.
