B Street preview meeting planned next week

Several representatives from the Nebraska Department of Roads, Paulsen Inc., the city of McCook and the McCook Chamber of Commerce will conduct a meeting Tuesday, Jan. 14, 7 p.m. in the Board Room of McCook National Bank to discuss the upcoming B Street reconstruction project.

The $3.2 million project was recently awarded to Paulsen Inc. of Cozad.

The project will begin just east of West Fourth Street and continue to just east of East Seventh Street on U.S. Highway 6 and 34.

The project includes replacing all the concrete pavement, traffic signals, roadway lighting, water mains and the storm sewer system.

In addition, bridge approach repairs and pavement patching will be accomplished on U.S. Highway 83 from the south corporate limits north to B Street.

Work is scheduled to begin March 3.

Those attending the meeting are asked to use the C Street entrance to the bank.
