Light of Hope

Supporters of the CASA program in Southwest Nebraska gathered Tuesday night for a "Light of Hope" program in honor or children. Volunteers, board members and representatives of the state CASA organization were on hand for the program, CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. The volunteers serve as advocates for children of families in the court system. Doug Skiles, president of the Red Willow County CASA board of directors, said, "The Light of Hope ceremony recognizes the tragedy of abuse and neglect and makes a gesture of hope that abused children will find safe homes."
