Garcia, Longnecker unit in late spring ceremony

Shelly Garcia and Bill Longnecker, both of McCook, were united in marriage May 24, 2003, at the Church of Nazarene with Randy Longnecker, brother of the bridegroom, of Woodland Park, Colo., officiating.

Parents of the couple are Bob and Dorothy Staab of Plainville, Kan., Phil and Beverly Rhea of McCook and the late Bob Longnecker.

The matron of honor was Teresa Garcia of McCook. The bridesmaids were Angie Fisher of Oberlin and Chris Sprinkle of McCook. The junior bride was Tori Garcia of McCook, daughter of the bride.

The best man was Don Longnecker of Indianola, brother of the bridegroom. The bridegroomsmen were Taylor Garcia of McCook, son of the bride, and Tracey Mai of McCook, brother of the bride.

Candlelighters for the ceremony were the mothers of the couple.

Ushers were Brett Longnecker of Indianola, nephew of the bridegroom, and Shane Mai of Plainville, brother of the bride.

The organist was Chris Lyons of McCook and the soloist was Jerilynn Karr of McCook and Kristen Longnecker of Indianola, niece of the bridegroom.

The reception was at Heritage Hills Club House. The guestbook attendant was Mariah Longnecker of Indianola, niece of the bridegroom. Programs were handed out by Shay Lynne Mai of Plainville, niece of the bride. The gift attendant was Becki Mai of McCook, sister-in-law of the bride. Cake servers were Kim Mai, Kimberly Mai, both of Plainville, and Mary Jo Longnecker of Indianola, sister-in-law of the bridegroom.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Colby Community College in Colby, Kan. She is employed as a dental hygienist with Dr. Darin D. Seligman, Family Dentistry in McCook. The bridegroom is the owner and operator of Longnecker Jewelry in McCook.

The couple will make their home in McCook.
