Couple unite in Hawaii

HONOLULU -- Megumi Arakawa and Joseph Hamrick Jr., were united in marriage Nov. 1, 2002, at the Michels Chapel in Honolulu, Hawaii with the Rev. Crais Cain officiating.

Parents of the couple are Masae and Isae Arakawa of Tochigi, Japan and Joseph and Cheryl Hamrick of McCook.

Grandparents of the couple are Tomio and Haru Arakawa of Tochigi and Tom and Betty Burns of McCook.

The bride wore a simple gown and veil.

The matron of honor was Chris Newman of Honolulu and the best man was Toleteau Doai of Honolulu.

The couple is making their home in Kanagwa, Japan while the bridegroom is stationed in the Navy Reserves as security police.
