Dulce Damme, a Panama native, is the new owner of Super Nails in McCook. Damme, who took over the operation July 1, offers all the manicure and pedicure luxuries of a nail salon with the additional knowledge of hand and foot reflexology, many different nail diseases and disorders and the Nebraska state laws on bacteriology, sanitation and sterilization. Damme has two years experience in Panama and has lived in McCook for two years. She attended Ms. Vicki's Academy of Nail Technology in Kearney and specialized in nail extensions, nail fills, advanced techniques, drill management, airbrushing, nail and hand care and the massage of the hands, arms, legs and feet. At Super Nails, Damme said that the business is unisex. "I offer services to everybody, because I feel we all deserve the best in hygiene and grooming," Damme said. Super Nails also offers package deals for those who want a manicure and pedicure at the same time. In the future, she is looking at adding paraffin wax treatments, a whirlpool chair, massage bench and more nail technicians. She is married to Cary Damme, who is retired from the Army after 22 years. He works with Transportation Security Administration at Municipal Airport. The couple has two sons, Jose, 10 years-old, and William, 20 months-old. The Super Nails grand opening celebration is Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and Dulce will provide reduced prices all day on full sets, fills, manicures, pedicures and nail cosmetics. She will also offer gift certificates and free consultations. "There is nothing more important than to touch the person we love with nice looking hands," Dulce said. She encourages people to stop in during the grand opening. "I promise to provide the best service." Super Nails, 106 West C, is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday by appointment only. For more information call (308)345-7774. Damme is bilingual.
