2026 NEMFCA 8-Man Hall of Fame Inductee Salutes - Adam Broders, Bloomfield High School

This is our first of fifteen 2026 Nebraska Eight Man Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductees. We begin our salutes to one of 8-Man football's finest All-Around players in the history of the sport, the great Adam Broders from Bloomfield.
ADAM BRODERS – BLOOMFIELD HIGH SCHOOL
From 2003 to 2006, Adam was the Bee’s “workhorse” while running legendary Coach Jim Dooley’s direct-snap single-wing offense. In his prolific prep career, Adam led the team to four consecutive playoff appearances, the Class D-2 quarterfinals (2x), and left a multitude of defenders in his wake along the way. He rushed for 5,116 career yards- compiling three 1,000+ yard seasons, including 2,306 yards and 44 touchdowns as a senior. His efforts on the gridiron were recognized on multiple occasions when he was named: 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-District three times, 1st Team All-State twice, and All-Area Player of the Year as a senior.
In the summer of 2007, Adam was selected to play for the East squad in the 8-Man All Star Game and then went on to a successful stint playing Middle Linebacker for The University of South Dakota. He finished his decorated college career with 280 tackles, was a 3-time All-Conference selection, and was named GWC Defensive Player of the Year in 2011.
Adam is most proud of his role in the Bloomfield community and the part he played in helping build its football tradition. He gives credit for his successes in football to all of his teammates and coaches he worked with along the way. The NEMFCA is honored to now welcome him into the Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

*1000 Yard Guy sez…..An imposing figure checking in at 6-3, 191 lbs as a senior, Broders steamrolled more defenders than you can count. Broders is one of a long line of thousand yard rushers from running back-rich Bloomfield. In fact, the Bees have more 1000 yard rushers than any school, regardless of class in Nebraska, 41 to be exact.
The fact that Adam Broders was a standout defensive player at the University of South Dakota is a testimonial to how talented the young man was through his entire football career. A Swiss Army Knife, if you will.
It appears that Adam Broders was BORN to play football!
