Thanks for story

Dear Editor,

I want to thank Connie Jo (Discoe) for the nice article she wrote about Matthew B. Cheney on the front page of the Jan. 22 paper. He is my great-grandfather -- I have some pictures of him and my great-grandmother, Lucy Stanley. I plan to donate the pictures to the museum to complete the display.

I also want to thank John Hubert for "engineering" the project from the beginning to the end. Thanks also goes to Trevor Premer for rebuilding the desk after it was disassembled and stored for some time. I hope a lot of people who know the Cheney family will enjoy the display.
