Life Chain

Monday, October 8, 2012
Dawn Cribbs/McCook Daily Gazette Nearly 150 people braved a chilly wind Sunday afternoon to participate in one of more than 1,700 Life Chains formed across the United States and in Canada, providing a silent, prayerful witness against abortion. Before taking their places along B Street, the group offers prayer for the unborn, the Life Chain event, and the heart of the nation. The annual event, spearheaded locally by Roger Seibrandt of McCook, spans B Street for one hour, holding signs that proclaim the pro-life message. Signs include the messages: "Abortion Kills Children," "Adoption: The Loving Option," "Life -- The First Inalienable Right," "Jesus Forgives and Heals," and "Pregnant: Need Help? Call 800-395-HELP."
