TRENTON, Nebraska -- Mildred Margaret Miller passed away on Sunday Sept. 18, 2011, at the El Dorado Manor Home in Trenton, Nebraska at the age of 97.

She was born Oct. 29. 1913, at Vona, Colorado, the daughter of the late John and Nettie Mae (Stover) Warrick.

She grew up at Vona and graduated from Vona High School in 1931.

On Aug. 13, 1932, Mildred married Kenneth C. Miller at Laramie, Wyoming. They made their home on their farm northwest of Trenton and continued farming when they moved to Trenton in 1944.

She was a founding member of the Hitchcock County Historical Society in 1966. She was a den mother in the Cub Scouts and active in several local clubs.

Following her husband's death she continued in the farming operation and maintained her large yard with loving care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth on Aug. 15, 1987; one daughter, Dixie Lee Dallam on Feb. 18, 2002; her parents; brothers Floyd, Harold, Clarence, John J. Warrick; and sisters Frances Smith and Lola Chase.

Mildred is survived by two sons, Keith Miller and wife, Sandy of Omaha, Nebraska and John D. Miller of Trenton, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Scott Miller and wife, Angie, Sandra Grigg and husband Jodi, Sherrie Burk and husband, Fred and Randy Dallam and wife, Diana; three step grandchildren, Rick Kentfield, Dennis Kentfield and Kevin Kentfield; seven great grandchildren; six step grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Agnes Warrick of Phoenix, Arizona; relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at Herrmann Funeral Home in Trenton, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011. at the Church of God in Trenton, Nebraska with Pastor Tim Roberts officiating. Interment will be in the Trenton Cemetery at Trenton, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers Mildred requested memorials be given to the Hitchcock County Society Museum.
