HUDSON, Kansas -- Kara Melchert and Reilly Duncan were united in marriage on Feb. 19, 2011, at Peace Church in Hudson, Kansas with the Rev. Wade Russell officiating.

Parents of the couple are Linda Melchert of Benkelman, Nebraska, Richard Melchert of Trenton, Nebraska, and Von Stewart and Gayla Duncan of Hudson, Kansas. Grandparents of the bride are Omar and Delores Robb, formerly of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Al and Burdean Melchert of Stratton, Nebraska. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Vaugh Duncan of Great Bend, Kansas, and Richard Fischer of Hudson.

The flower girl was niece of the bride, Aubrey Melchert of Kearney, Nebraska. The ring bearer was nephew of the bride, Brayden Melchert of Kearney. The ushers were Nathan Baker and Linc Ostmeyer, both of Goodland, Kansas.

The bride graduated from Dundy County High School in 2007 and Northwest Community College in Goodland in 2010. She is employed as a medical assistant for Dr. Donald E. Beahm, M.D., Eye Surgeon. The bridegroom graduated from Ellinwood High School in 2004 and Northwest Community College in Goodland in 2010. He is certified in heating and cooling and works for Meyers Electric in Stafford, Kansas.

The couple honeymooned in Denver, Colorado.
