Kiley Jo Friesen of Polk, Nebraska, and Ryan Scott Carman of Lincoln announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the couple are Wes and Leta Friesen of Polk and Mark and Cathy Carman of McCook. Grandparents of the bride-to-be are John and LeOra Friesen of Henderson and Phyllis Schrader of Hampton, Nebraska. Grandparents of the prospective bridegroom are Connie Cole of Goodland, Kansas, the late Allan Cole, Max and Veanna Carman of Oberlin and the late Janice Carman.

The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of High Plains Community School. She is currently completing her Master's degree in nursing through the University of Phoenix. She is employed at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of McCook High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Master's degree in architecture. He is a Second Lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers with the Army Reserve.

A Sept. 25, 2010, wedding is planned at Berean Church in Lincoln.
