Miranda Thayer and Ross Spencer

Miranda Lynn Thayer and Ross Daniel Spencer, both of Kearney, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the couple are Roger and Hillerie Engler of McCook and Rod and Deb Spencer of Culbertson. Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Charles Morris of North Platte and the late Joan Morris and Millie Engler of Lexingtion. Grandparents of the prospective bridegroom are Leo and Betty Rouselle of Culbertson, Kenneth and Stannis Spencer of McCook, and Delphine Spencer of Culbertson.

The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of McCook High School and a 2005 graduate of McCook Community College with an Associates Degree in office technology. She is employed in the Returns Department at the Buckle Distribution Center.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of McCook High School. He is employed as a ready mix driver at Kearney Concrete and Block.

An Aug. 21, 2010, outdoor wedding is planned at Yanney Park in Kearney.
