CAMBRIDGE -- Gail C. Fleider, 62, died Friday (April 2, 2010) at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 17, 1947, in McCook to Earl and Lizzie Belle (Bates) Palmer. She grew up in the Wilsonville area, attending Sunflower School and graduating from Wilsonville High School in 1966. She attended Kearney State Teachers for several years.

On May 31, 1970, she married Gail E. Kasson, he preceded her in death on March 13, 2001. She married Harold Fleider on July 10, 2004.

She worked for the Tri-Valley Medical System for 24 years as a cook. She started cooking at the hospital and transferred to cook at the Heritage Plaza.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gail; brother, Darrell Palmer; infant brother, Jackie Lee; sister, Ila Marie Potter; and infant sister, Betty Jean.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Fleider of Cambridge; her daughter, Kristi Kasson of Blair; one son, Anthony and wife, Jean Kasson of Kearney; three step-daughters, Lori Ann and husband, Dale Brown of Grand Island, Joani Fegley and Georgia Wiltkin, both of Cambridge; two sisters, Rose and husband, Bennie Desmond Sr. of McCook, Joan and husband, Jerry Bennett of Cozad; one sister-in-law, June Palmer of Wilsonville; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and eight great-step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at the Calvary Baptist Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Clark Bates officiating. Interment will be in the Wilsonville Cemetery in Wilsonville.

Memorials may be left in her name to the Humane Society and left at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge.
