Marianne and Daniel Young

Marianne Francella Hock and Daniel Fredrick Young, both of Lincoln, were united in marriage on Sept. 19, 2009, at St. Patrick's Church in McCook. The Rev. Paul Colling, uncle of the bride, officiated at the nuptial Mass. The Rev. Gary Brethour, pastor of St. Patrick's Church, concelebrated.

Parents of the couple are Bradford and Mary Jo Hock of Culbertson, Mary Reed of Omaha and Garey Young of Lincoln.

Honored guest was the bride's grandmother, Mary Colling of McCook.

The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a strapless form-fitted satin gown with an elegant lace overlay. The bodice was accented with pearls which included a white satin bow at the waist. The skirt was edged in embroidered pearl lace and flowed into a semi-cathedral length train. She carried a bouquet of white and pink cymbidium orchids accented by her crystalline rosary, a gift from her mother and blessed by Pope Benedict XVI.

Annette Severson of Superior, Colo., cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sharlene Hock of Lincoln, Alesia Hock of Culbertson, Theresa Deger of Grand Island and Lynette Smith of Omaha, sisters of the bride. They wore floor length black satin gowns. The A-line gowns were accented at the waist with a flowing pink sash forming a semi- train in the back. They carried bouquets of pink star gaze lilies, orchids, azalea and pink beads.

The bridegroom wore a Calvin Klein tuxedo with a white vest and tie. He had a single white orchid pinned to his lapel.

The best man was John Young of Omaha, brother of the bridegroom. Bridegroomsmen were brother of the bridegroom, Nathan Young of Omaha, Rob Tewes, Jimmy Weverka and Brett Cover, all of Lincoln. They wore black tuxedos with black vests and pink ties with matching boutonnieres.

The flower girl was Kailey Severson of Superior, Colo., goddaughter of the bride. She carried a flower basket with hand sewn rose petals and wore a white satin dress with a lace overlay matching the bride's gown. She had a pink satin sash at the waist flowing to the floor. The flower basket and flower girl gown were designed and made by the mother of the bride and her twin sister, Barbara Graham.

The ring bearer was Collin Young of Omaha, nephew of the bridegroom. He wore a matching bridegroomsmen tuxedo and carried a ring pillow with hand sewn rose petals matching the flower girl basket.

Candle lighters and Eucharistic gift bearers were Mallory Young, Hillary Young and Emily Kriz, all of Omaha, nieces of the bridegroom. They wore matching pink organza gowns with pink bows accenting their waistline.

David Colling of McCook, godfather of the bride, Ron Colling of Osceola, uncle of the bride, were the acolyte and lector for the wedding ceremony.

Ushers were Dan Pester and Dave Turek of Lincoln. Jessica Trauernicht of Lincoln attended the guest book.

Cello music was provided before the ceremony by Alesia Hock. Soloist Marla Hoeschler of Bartley was accompanied by Sally Loescher on the organ.

Greg and Barbara Graham of Fort Collins, Colo., John and Lori Sutton of McCook, aunts and uncles of the bride, hosted the wedding reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Reception assistants were aunt of the bride, Angela Rehtus, Sarah Hock and Amanda Davidson, cousins of the bride. Shawn Hock, brother of the bride, was the videographer.

Following a honeymoon to Hawaii the couple has made their home in Lincoln.
