TRINITY, Texas -- Georgia Cobb, 85, of Trinity, Texas was born Feb. 24, 1924, and passed into eternal peace on Feb. 8, 2010.

Georgia was raised in the Houston, Texas, area and married Robert "Bob" Cobb, her husband for 68 years. They moved to Norfolk in the early 1950s where he founded Bob Cobb Motor's and also a Volkswagon dealership. They moved to McCook in 1964 where Bob had a Pontiac dealership. After Bob retired in 1982, they settled in Trinity, Texas. Bob at the time had car dealerships in Norfolk and McCook.

Georgia had many passions in her life, first and foremost was her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were very precious to her, and they loved all the times they spent with her. Other extended family members also looked to her as an important anchor in their lives.

Georgia had a very special faith. She was very active in Trinity Episcopal Church in Norfolk; St. Alban's Episcopal Church in McCook, as well as churches in Trinity, Texas. Every morning she had a time of quiet prayer, Bible reading, and introspection.

She loved the game of golf, playing both in McCook and the Westwood shores courses frequently. She enjoyed it not only for the outdoor exercise, but also for the fellowship. She also enjoyed playing with bridge clubs.

Georgia is preceded in death by parents, Winnie Wilson and John Williams, and three brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband Bob Cobb; three sons, Richard "Dick," John and Jim; as well as 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Services will be Friday, 11 a.m., at Waller Funeral Home, 203 San Jacinto, Trinity, TX 75862. 936-594-3571.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, contact the funeral home for specific time.
