Donald Cumpston

YUTAN - Donald Cumpston, 77, died Monday (Nov. 30, 2009).

He was a teacher and coach at Arapahoe and Weeping Water, and served in the United States Military.

Survived by wife Barbara; daughters Paula and husband, Cass Lofgreen of Steilacoom, Wash., Carla and husband, Bob Snyder of Yutan, Neb., Sheila Cumpston and Mila Bird of San Jose Calif.; brothers and sisters-in-law Leonard and Phyllis of Pittman, N.J., Harold of Carroll, Ind., Virginia Cumpston of Lexington, Janice Cumpston of Grand Island Neb., and brother-in-law Luther Miller of Cozad; four grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Memorial service is Saturday, Dec., 12, 11 a.m., at St. Peter's United Methodist Church of Christ in Yutan.

Family gathering Friday, Dec. 11, 6 p.m., at Yutan Funeral Home. Private inurnment will follow.
