OBERLIN -- Myrna Kelley, 92, died Tuesday (Sept. 29, 2009) at Sherman County Good Samaritan Center in Goodland, Kan.

She was born Oct. 13, 1916, near Norcatur, Kan., to Alva and Hazel (Kious) Railsback. She grew up in the Norcatur area and attended country school. She graduated from Norcatur High School in 1936 and attended Hutchinson Business College for one year and Emporia Teachers College for two years majoring in home economics.

On June 14, 1942, she married Ora Ray Kelley in Norton, Kan. They lived in Oberlin where they owned and operated Oberlin Ice and Storage, the Oberlin Locker Plant and Oberlin Livestock Commission. She moved to Goodland in 2001.

She was preceded in death by her husband O.R. Bud Kelley and grandson, Jeremy Lignitz.

Survivors include her son, Ronald Ray Kelley; step-son, Raymond Kelley; daughters, Vicki Lignitz and Terry Anderson; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at Oberlin United Methodist Church in Oberlin with the Rev. Doug Hasty officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin and Saturday from 10 a.m., until time of services at the church.

Memorials may be given in her name.
