BEAVER CITY -- Mary Lucille Bodfield, 52, of Beaver City, died Friday (June 26, 2009) at her home after a long battle with cancer.


She was born July 15, 1956, to Edwin Imler and Anita (Welch) Stickelman at Gothenburg. She attended school at Brady. She grew up in Brady and Gothenburg.

On March 26, 1971, she married Larry Bodfield at Cheyenne, Wyo. They lived in Beaver City.


She was preceded in death by father, Edwin T. Imler; uncle, Walter Cyrus Imler; father-in-law, Richard 'Dick' Bodfield; brother-in-law, Richard 'Butch' Bodfield; and mother-in-law, Gerry Moore.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; children, Rebecca and husband, Terry Scott of North Platte, Angie and husband, Rodney Mason of Gothenburg, Mike and wife, Krista Bodfield of Cozad and Michelle Putzier of Grand Island; brothers, Walter and wife, Lorraine Imler of Hershey and Ira and wife, Rose Imler of Cortez, Colo.; sisters, Alice and husband, Mitch Golter of Gothenburg and Rhonda Imler of Gothenburg; her mother Anita Stickelman of Gothenburg; grandmother, Lucille Damerell of Salem, Ore.; father-in-law, Fred Moore of Gothenburg; sister-in-law, Jackie Bodfield of Gothenburg; brother-in-law, Joe and wife, Mandy Moore of Gothenburg, 16 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.


Memorial services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg with with the Rev. Rick Remhert officiating.



Register book signing will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg.
