Cinda and Matthew Schmit

Cinda Coleman of McCook, and Matthew Schmit of Bellwood were united in marriage Aug. 30, 2008, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating.

Parents of the bride are Charles and Christina Coleman of McCook. Parents of the bridegroom are Harry and Sharon Schmit of Bellwood.

Grandparents of the bride are John and Eileen Hubert of McCook and Lillie Coleman of McCook.

Maid of honor was Chelsey Hartwell, cousin of the bride of McCook. Bridemaids were Ashley Carman of Fort Collins, Colo., Michelle Doorn, aunt of bride, of Davis, S.D., Jill Schmit, sister of bridegroom of Kansas City, Kan., and Karla Schmit, sister of bridegroom of Omaha.

The best man was Keith McDermott, of Omaha. Bridegroomsmen were Keith Miner, of Tacoma, Wah., Gerry Hunter of McCook, Craig Coleman, brother of bride, of Lincoln and Chad Coleman, brother of bride, of McCook.

The flower girl was Candace Coleman, cousin of the bride, of McCook. The ring bearer was Will Helmandollar, nephew of bridegroom, of Albemarle, N.C.

The organist was Chad Lauritsen of Clevland, Ohio. The soloist and violinist was Kim Lauritsen, cousin of bride, of Clevland.

The reception was at the Red Willow County Community building. Guest book attendants were Shayne Coleman of McCook and Yasmin Hubert of Rochester, Minn., both cousins of the bride.

Host couples were Fritz and Jan Hubert, aunt and uncle of the bride, of McCook and Nick and Cheryl Schmit, cousins of the bridegroom, of Bellwood.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of McCook Senior High and in 2004 graduated from McCook Community College with an Associate of Arts degree. In 2007 she graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a bachelor of arts degree in music. She is an associate with Aflac.

The bridegroom is a 1998 David City Aquinas graduate. In 2002 he graduated from the University of Nebraska -Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. He is a state trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol.

The couple will reside in Ogallala.
